The Check-In System provides peace of mind by allowing family members to request and confirm each other's safety with a simple tap. And when the situation is resolved, the "I'm Safe" button sends instant relief to everyone in your nest. All location data is collected only when you choose to share it—SQUAWK!™ never tracks you in the background, respecting your privacy while keeping you protected.

Send private Nest Messages to individual family members, knowing that your conversations are deleted immediately after being read—no permanent logs, no data mining.
Making family decisions has never been easier with Polly's Polling Station. Create polls to vote on dinner plans, vacation destinations, or weekend activities, with results visible to all nest members in real time. Express yourself with custom Squawk alerts—short status messages that appear for everyone in your nest, perfect for quick announcements like "Running late!" or "Don't forget the milk!" The platform also features a fun dual-currency system where you can earn Golden Eggs and Squawk Gems through participation, which can be used to unlock custom avatars, upgrade messaging limits, and personalize your SQUAWK!™ experience in The Roost store.

David H. Smith Jr. is the founder and lead developer of Beakin Network Developing LLC, bringing a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and passion for family safety to every line of code. A true Renaissance man, David's career spans music education, choral direction, theater production, and now software development. With a B.S. in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam and a Master's degree from Ithaca College, he has spent decades inspiring students as a choral director, theory instructor, and theater director at CPP High School in Corning, NY.
David's creative journey includes composing sacred anthems, children's songs, and original musicals—including the acclaimed "Scrooge" and "Dear Corona." He also produces electronic music under the artist name "Shrike." This artistic background infuses SQUAWK!™ with thoughtful design, engaging game mechanics, and an attention to user experience that only a lifelong educator and storyteller could bring. As a father of four sons and proud grandfather, David understands firsthand the importance of keeping families connected and safe.
